kraichgau and stromberg is the region where I live - this is a presentation of kraichgau impressions - part of my photographic portfolio - an exhibition of this pictures was organized by the city of bretten and gazette "brettener woche" together with a concert of a star tenor - the major theme was homeland - Kraichgau-Stromberg, the land between Rhine and Neckar, Black Forest and Odenwald, has forest, water and lots of wine - and 1,000 gentle hills - landscapes character very similar to Italys famous Tuscany

My Dad's people, being Russian Germans, had originally come from the Kraichgau in the 19th century. It truly is a slice of heaven on earth. No wonder the Franks and Alemanni had fought to the death over the Kraichgau fifteen centuries ago.

Very nice compilation! Yes, the Kraichgau and Stromberg are beautiful. I try to spend as much time hiking there as possible - Hohlwege, Streuobst, forests, Trollinger wine, etc. The area stands on its own and doesn't need the "Tuscany" comparison for validation.
