A very good album, and a song that builds, very traditional, very American.

Such an unbelievably enjoyable album, from top to bottom.

makes me wanna hop the train down to baton rouge just to stand outside in the "louisiana rain"

This is the underrated gem on the album, just like "Strangered in the Night" is an unnoticed, rarely mentioned jewel on the first Petty debut.

Love Benmont Tench's organ on this tune, plus Petty's lyric and that nice slide guitar... great song, especially played loud on your car stereo!

@luvtotruck: He sure does1 I remember first hearing that song in a bar one night, and being a bass player, thinking "I've got to find out who plays that menacing bassline!" Little did I know it was Duck Dunn, one of my heroes on the instrument, and a guy I've listened to since I was a little boy with a transistor radio.

@jldraw Yup I had that album. One of the first I bought with my own money. IE Navy paycheck. lol Good times. Happy Birthday Tom Petty.
Arguably his BEST album, which I think we can all agree says a lot

@nightowl8936 it really isn't the kids that are the fools. its those who were raised in our generation, and before it and knew what good music was; who became record producers and more interested in turning a buck than seeing the music they were blessed to be raised around continue to the next generations. our generation sold out at the expense of our children and our children's children.
