you have a pretty steady technique, but you are getting innacurate because you are hurrying. try to avoid rushing through your work. remember, origami is not about making it fast, like any art, it is based upon quality, not quantity. pace yourself, relax, take a step back to look at how you have done so far. then continue. anyways, thanks for the tutorial. I was looking for ways to help my students excel in the art. this is perfect.

That's very well done. I thought, "He's using a bird base to make an elephant? This is gotta see!"
You could cut the back legs apart if you're not to much of a purist. Then instead of a three-legged elephant you would have four legs.
