I honestly like this version better than the newsong, correct me if I'm wrong, orginal. The newsong version is so slow it actually gets boring to listen to. I like slow songs and in fact some of my songs are slow but this song really needs to be a but more upbeat.

Agreed. This type of music is just punk rock. Its upbeat, catchy and the meanings behind all of them are just heartwarming. All you have to do .. is listen..
