I remember sneaking into the living room and tossing the blanket over the screen so my parents wouldnt see nor hear me watching the Olympics .. I was amazed to see this man fly down the mountain right on the edge .. A week before i had little or no thougths of skiing and after that night i have had a lifelong memory of catching an amazing human moment not just an amazing sports moment

You're right! I saw it live in 1976. It seems he put his life on the line to win a gold medal. Wouldn't it be great to see the entire run uninterrupted? It's the most incredible sports performance by an individual that I've ever seen.
