http://www.GuitarTipsWeekly.com/Bass This lesson was really just to test to see what my bass would sound like on Youtube.. I've got a string buzz issue that needs to be fixed. But apart from that, you'll learn how to use the octaves on your bass, as well as fifths and a few other things if you watch close ;)

  • I played a 5 string for a while. And a six. I went back to 4.

  • @plangentmusic All round, I think I like the 5 string best... I'd have a hard time going back to just four now at this point! There's so much more you can do with the extra string(s).

  • I have a 4 and the 5 string bass, and I use them quite often both, depending on what kind of music I'm playing. I have tryed playing 6 string basses but I found out that I don't need that C string, at least not at the moment. If I ever find myself needing an extra string I'll make sure to get another bass :-D

BTW Great bass (had exactley the same), great sound and great lesson! Rock on!!!

  • yeah but the next step is throwin tremelo picking with 3 fingers into those octaves...thats a rough one.

  • 5 stars! Very cool and sound is very good on my end. Good lesson. peace,

    Tim
