Popped my wheels up on the lathe for a bit to get turned after straightening and welding. Why I was thinking of paying $130 each to do this I don't know. :)

  • Strange thing to ask i guess but i am an engineer, how hard are they to hold? Dont they squash all over the place?

  • Yes, you cannot chuck on them with hard jaws as the wheels will bend all over the place. The solution is to use pie jaws to chuck evenly over the OD, that or make a hub. In this example we used a hub, just bolt the wheel to the hub, like you would bolt it to the car. Perfectly solid, especially if you back up the back side with jacks.

    Hope this helps!
