  • Why would you have 8GB in Leopard when Leopard can only take advantage of 4GB?

  • Have you ever head of final cut pro ? You name is whizkid ? You think that all I do is logic ?

  • @rpm1972 he means a G5 can only use 4GB ram no matter how much you put into it, i think thats what he means anyway! :L

  • @FredEFuego okay hopefully 8 will suffice, i love plugins. The waves bundles are amazing i would just hate having my projects not run smoothly when i have external virtual instruments, plus, waves compressors and eq's.

  • @MmaNcovers 9 Gigs & 2.66 Ghrz quad Xeon's is what I run with but don't use any external plugins works better than perfect

  • @FredEFuego alrighty, i'm using 4 right now on logic studio 8, but sometimes it gets overloaded when i load up a bunch of plugins like Steven slate drums, kontakt, and izotope, and guitar rig. i just want to make sure when i renew my studio, that a basic 2.5 i5 intel mac with 8gigs will be able to run guitar, drums, pitch correction, and mixing plugins like waves, smoothly.

  • @MmaNcovers More than enough I only use 4 Gigs Max

  • @FredEFuego do u think 8 gigs of ram would run a project smoothly on logic that uses many plugins, like he waves bundles?

  • @whizkid515 Leopard can only use 4 GB but any 64 bit App can use more than that on it's own I have 9GB on my Mac Pro and I have used over 7 in a production session & I'm getting Logic pro 9 soon and that's 64 bit App . Have you learned anything yet oh I run Snow Leopard in 32 bit mode

  • This piece has got real potential

  • Hello There, well a technical issue is required. I just got a Onyx Mackie 1220 i and it works with Soundtrack or even garage band but no way to listen to my tracks from Logic 8..??? is there a special thing to do? preferences stuff etc. Any ideas about that connection?? thanks
