A calm and tranquil Barcarolle. Apparently, all five of Alkan's Barcarolles that end each set of Chants are in G Minor. Although the one from Op. 65 is the most well known, this one is also magnificent in the same kind of respect.

  • danke für die Mühe und Sendung!

  • seriously Weiss is a boss! every time i listen to to this and then try to go play it i wish my dynamics and tone were not limited by the upright i have :(

  • amazing

  • This is so beautiful....can´t believe some people claim alkan to be an unmusical keyboard mashing composer....

  • these deserve so many more views...

  • I can't get enough of his tone, beautiful! :P I cannot resist the analogy of thinking of Chopin Nocturnes while listening to this, the style and mood are very very similar. It's so gentle music :) Thanks for posting Weiss' Alkan performances, they're great! :D
