A calm and tranquil Barcarolle. Apparently, all five of Alkan's Barcarolles that end each set of Chants are in G Minor. Although the one from Op. 65 is the most well known, this one is also magnificent in the same kind of respect.

I can't get enough of his tone, beautiful! :P I cannot resist the analogy of thinking of Chopin Nocturnes while listening to this, the style and mood are very very similar. It's so gentle music :) Thanks for posting Weiss' Alkan performances, they're great! :D
