This was composed for a film of the same name, directed by Arindam Mitra. Shunya the film has not been released. The lyrics by Sanjeev Sharma talk about a man who has reached an absolute nadir, complete disillusionment, and is unable to see a way out. It's very difficult to make a song about nothingness, and this one took us about 4 months in 2007. The Bengali lyrics emerged from Asheem's head, possibly line from a poem he'd read many moons ago. Rahul plays the alto sax and Amit the Clarinet in this song.
