The Region of Waterloo is located in southwestern Ontario and has a population of more than 500,000. The community is currently undertaking a study to determine routes, station locations and technology for a new rapid transit system. This video is narrated by 14-year-old Seth McDermott, a transit rider and enthusiast who has been involved in the public consultation process for the study since it began. The video describes the reasons for the study and the progress made to date.

  • london ontario needs one of those also

  • Wonderful! I want to make it out to one of these meetings ... I just keep missing them.

GRT, please keep in mind to not take the "rapid" out of our rapid transit. K-W, Cambridge covers a LOT of land. Currently, it takes me way too long to take transit to work. I live in Hespeler and work in Waterloo, there is no way the current transit system can get me to work in less than an hour, unless I take a car.

Please make this system efficient at traveling across the cities, as well as within them.

  • I cannot wait until this is built, although it will be years from now. This is absolutely the way to go!
