I forgot to mention, I flew OH6s and OH58s in the area from Danang to Dong Ha. Mostly around Camp Eagle and point west into the Ashu Valley. 1970 I went to the 108th Arty group at Dong Ha.

thanks for a very nice video. It is a close as I want to get that the place ever again. I was there for 18 months in 1969 and 1970. That was enough for me and I have no desire what so ever to ever go back. The country and the people look just like I remember them in 1970 however the roads look to be in worse shape now.

Thanks for the vid! Those places are my old stomping grounds. Mike co 3/9 68-69

You didn't go as far as Lang Vei special forces camp?

Love this video. Stationed with 1st Bde, 5 Inf division in 70 and 71. Been to all these places when the brigade lead the Vietnamese incursion into Laos. Little strange becuase the areas look built-up and populated now. The brigade lost 30 men in May 1971 when a rocket went into the mess hall at Charlie-2.

Glad that you enjoyed the video. We have been back twice since then and are already planning a 2012 trip. Welcome home, brother

@YawmZajlaug We certainly were not there for what we were paid back then. Most of us were volunteers and manyof us are still trying to help the Vietnamese 43 years later.

I enjoyed your video very much. My son and I traveled some of the same ground during our trip in 2008. I have very few photos from when I was at Khe Sanh and Camp Carroll in 1967-68 and appreciate being able to see some of yours. Thanks for sharing not only the photos and video, but also the informative narratives.

@jalimager A friend recently sent photos of FSB Fuller and the old Mai Loc camp & a Marine Colonel presented the history of the 75mm gun that had been firing on the US positions at Carroll. It might be available on the 2/94th website
