Oh sure there were a thousand super shitty Italian rip-offs of "Star Wars", but "Starcrash" is hands down the best of the lot. ("If you plan to see only one shitty Italian space opera this year, "Starcrash" is the one to watch!") Its pleasures are too numerous to elaborate in such short space, but suffice to say they are the stuff of bad movie hound legend. Seventies honey Caroline Munro fills out the Sybil Danning roles here, and - forgive me if I start to get a little emotional - this is the only known movie in existence to star both Marjoe Gortner AND David Hasselhoff. If Linda Blair had been in this too I probably never would've bothered to watch any other movie in my life ever.

I met Caroline Munro at a convention years ago, and she's a really nice lady.
As for StarCrash, apart from the fact that they overdubbed her voice with an American accent (why not just have her use one in the first place if that's what they wanted?) it was a romp of a movie.
Christopher Plummer, as you can see, brought a lot of class to the proceedings as the Emperor, and ya gotta love a robot bodyguard who talks like a Wild West sheriff!
