I felt his Friday The 13th score a little bit less devloped than Deep Star Six, and considering the fact that DSS came out almost 9 years later, I think he grabbed some tips on the way. in FT13th i think he was still learning, and had a lot to learn. and I can prove this with wishmaster (1997), where his score is way better, and he just does it freely by then, no different that any other experienced composer. but still, this score isnt bad.

@diuga1 Manfredini has a long "musical" sheet of films he has scored. Friday happens to be one of the most recognizable - secondary to the ki ki ki ma ma ma. I think he's equal or better than Schifrin, Morricone or Williams . Being known for an ICONIC film isn't a bad thing, although.

Manfredini is loaded with musical talent...too bad most folks only think of him as the composer for the THEME i FRIDAY THE13th...he's capable of much more, as evidenced here.

Did Dead and Gone, House, Swamp Thing. Brilliant composer.
I don't see why people keep on trashing this movie which has no more shortcomings or implausability than most blockbusters.
Maybe because, as everybody seems to think, everything that has no big stars and isn't the latest multi-billion brainless disaster can't be good ? This one is more disaster movie than monster movie, since the giant crab is only one amongst many problems the survivors has to face.
Greg Evigan, Nia Peeples, Miguel Ferrer, Matt McCoy and Cindy Pickett were brilliant.
