As an atheist, I found out some things about the Shroud of Turin. I hope you find them interesting.

Here is a more in depth explanation of my 'Jesus Monkey Arms' assertion - http://www.geocities.com/brianvds/skeptic/turin.htm

BTW - This is my first video and I know that it wasn't perfectly done - the sound cuts in and out and I didn't crop it right. Oh well... mistakes not to make in my next video.

  • When christians say "close minded" they mean - "why can't you accept this nonsense that I'm spewing?"

    "EXACTLY IN THREE DIMENSIONS"

Do you mean a 3D object projected unto a 2D surface or a 3D object projected unto a 2D surface that is currently undulating through three dimensions like the surface of a wave.

Either way, please describe the geometry of the fun house mirror that Jesus was buried underneath that would allow the EXACT distortion shown above.

    Run with that, kid.

  • Grown men with PhDs dated the shroud to the 1200s at the earliest.

But you theists suffer from what is known as disconfirmation bias, and will do anything and say anything to reject sound science in favor of silly superstitious nonsense.

  • Hilarious. You gave the shroud of turin the proper ammount of respect that it deserved.

  • @malechauvinistxy

Um...they were scientists approved by the Catholic Church to investigate the shroud after a VERY lengthy negotiation phase. And the part of the shroud they were allowed to carbon date was chosen by the church. There were no indications this was not an original part of the shroud until after the results were not what the church expected. And then the church SUDDENLY came up with this excuse.

Not buying it. It's a fake. Always has been. Get over it.

  • @middlekk they were Freemasons..and the dated one part of the shroud(which was suspected to be a repair)

  • @condorito29 The shroud, like your religion, is a fraud, based on false information and wishful thinking.

Sorry, but the tests still stand.

  • @condorito29 Penn and Teller replicated it almost exactly. Various ocres and resins on a painting canvas pressed over an effigy or relief of a human body and bingo, shroud of turin.

Also, you realize these same people you appeal too still date the thing to the 1400s, right?

  • I just wanted to say...on a personal note that if we all die and flutter out like a candle in the wind and there is nothing after death, hence we all will not only die for nothing but more over....we all will have lived for nothing and that's rather sad. Another thing, what's the harm in believing (in any God/s) only to die and there truly is nothing......what has one lost? Nothing.

  • It doesn't matter if the shroud is real or not. To people of faith and hope, it can be used to cement an individuals belief/s. As for the shrouds age being dated to 1200 years after the crusifiction... In the year 1532, the shroud suffered damage from a fire in a chapel. Changes where made in the years 1694 and further changes and repairs in 1868 and since the whole shroud wasn't tested against the pieces tested with radio carbon dating one could argue then about the shrouds true age.

  • Everything you said is nonsense

  • Elvis is alive! Wrestling is REAL! I am an UNDERWATER WELDER!

  • thanks for the link..... really down to earth and compelling evidence!
