DRACULA VS. FRANKENSTEIN (1971) Alternate ending

Here for your entertainment and educational edification is the original deleted ending of the film by Al Adamson. You be the judge of which one works best...in it Judith Fontaine (Regina Carroll) is hypnotised and abducted by Dracula (Roger Engel, aka, Zandor Vorkov!!!!) for use of her to re-energize the Frankenstein Monster. This alternate ending has Dracula being impaled through the chest--yuk!

No no no. This movie sucks. Both endings suck. But at least the other ending has a real battle between the titular monsters. After all this is "Dracula vs. Frankenstein."

By the way, I know everyone compares Zandor Vorkov to Frank Zappa, but do you think his Dracula is maybe a little bit inspired by Anton LeVay?

I THINK they had to re-do the ending because the 'hippie' actor wasn't available

when they decided to reshoot the ending.

This film scared the crap out of me when I was 12!

I liked the first ending, but the girl should have put on Dracula's ring, and given the camera a knowing look.

See The Oozing Skull if you "liked" this movie. A lot of the same actors, same maker, with better plot and overall quality. Plus, its riffed by the MST3K gang.

Yes, a better ending. The hippie hero doesn't get burned up by Dracula's ring, which was always a sad moment in the original. It was pretty horrific watching him die after trying to save the girl. At least he survives in this ending.
