actually MM's first album was fuckin amazing! forget float on, that was commercial. if u listen to their first 2 albums, you forget all about float on. plus theyre musically talented. soooo psssssh overrated my ass, they aren't that huge to be overrated. at least not in the us.

@AverageCabbage agreed. modest mouse area decent perfectly fine band but theyre so popular bcz theyre a totally unchallenging straightforward rock band just unpolished sounding enough for mainstream fans to have something to call indie

It's so annoying when ppl talk about how a band is overrated, mainstream, indie, the first album this, the last album that.. what are you trying to prove? That only your ears hear what good music is? Should we not listen to a band anymore just because they got popular and everyone likes them? ppl have different tastes. Just STFU and listen.
