Conservative Roundtable, hosted by Howard Phillips, welcomes Dr. Ron Paul, Republican Congressman from Surfside, TX. Paul talks about his run to reclaim his seat after imposing his own belief in Congressional term limits on himself, focusing on what kind of character voters are comfortable supporting. Ron Paul of course ran for president in 2008. He also discusses the 9th and 10th amendment, honest and sound money, public housing, runaway government deficit spending, inflation, the Federal Reserve - Fed, and how the public must demand real change.

Ron Paul's grassroots organization is Campaign For Liberty:

This is a classic edition of Conservative Roundtable from 1997, the nationally broadcast conservative television program hosted by Howard Phillips, and produced by The Conservative Caucus. Producer: Art Harman.
Unlike "politicians," statesman Ron Paul never lost his belief that government is the problem, not the answer; you'll see here that his positions are as sound today as when this was recorded in 1997!

  • Isn't it the job of conservatives to CONSERVE the wealth of the nation?

  • @PersianPaladin You are right! Real conservatives like Ron Paul and The conservative Caucus are on your side. RINOS who ran and ruined the GOP majority in Congress and the Bush White House spent the USA into debt beyond belief, and gave away American jobs via WTO to China.

  • Howard Phillips will speak at the Ron Paul's "Rally for the Republic" in Minneapolis on Sept. 2. You are invited to attend and pass the word!

  • Jobs are created when everyone has more Real money(gold/silver) in their pockets. Why cause money made becomes money spent, money spent is growth, growth demands good workers. Its slim for job because were taxed on the usage of the money we've already spent, plus income tax,& tarriffs n fees. Less money in our pockets means no growth. No growth means no-ones hiring! I dnt mean to b a jerk. But if ure "smart" stop begging for jobs from politicians. Its free market=growth=jobs!

  • Democratsaresmart you're missing the point of having a free-market. See if money is made, money, no more fed. Than we have more money to spend, when we stop fighting endless wars we than have more money. More money Real money creates growth therefore u are needed for hire. Its a bigger and simple process than depending on a president to give u a job. They can't and they're lying for ur vote.

  • democrats and republicans r the same party!

    china has jobs ,OUR jobs!

THE "dems and pubs (ONE WORD ) SENT AMERICAN COMPANYS TO ALL OTHER COUNTRYS ! liberaterians are about bringing them back to the US!

Maybe that explains it a little better.

    .....................RON PAUL 2012 !.....................

  • the guy lays it on the table and tell everything the way it is and how he sees it. the guy isn't fake and stands up for what he believes in. Ron Paul will get my vote in 2012

  • @PersianPaladin they try but both Conservative and liberals are Keynesian.

  • @PersianPaladin It is the job of the government to conserve the constitution and for us individuals to conserve the wealth of our own.

  • "Ron is the most honest politician in congress." - John McCain 1981

I would quote Obama too but he has proved to be lying media puppet with no conscience. Ron is not only honest, he makes sense.
