Most light we see at night from the stars has taken millions of years to reach our eyes, but ... the universe is only 6000 years old right? Ahh problem there, because it's a fact that the night sky should be black with almost no stars out at night. However, in REALITY that is not the case, because we can see light billions of years old. *sigh* religion fails sooooo hard!

@TheDolefish You are exactly correct, the Universe is vastly older than 6000 years. Religions that say otherwise are complete ignorance. Nowhere in scripture does it say or imply that the Universe or Earth is only 6000 years old. This is a BS religious tradition. Scripture does say "Tradition has made the Word of God void." Here are some more BS religious traditions: Christmas, Easter, Halloween, confession, calling a priest Father... let's just say all religious tradition!

The thing is, it doesn't prove 'the creator' exists. If it did, why would you need to BELIEVE in God?

But the thing that makes me not really sure about the whole God thing is that it's all based off of what man wrote down. His word has been put in the bible but it's all based on trusting the people that wrote the things he said. Who's to say they stretched what he said or changed it?

@fablex65 That is correct, open your mind, throw out ALL the religious crap, and approach God's Word with logic and reality. You will be amazed by what you might find.

@StarGate5 i know what it means and it would, rationally, make sense that he is the exact opposite, but the fact that people put magic and myth into this is exactly what i was hinting at, it's BS, god wanted us to take a more logical approach to religion

@fablex65 Also, you are correct in that God did create humans to "question and interpret things through logic" but few approach His Word this way. Religious doctrine has turned His Word into illogical, magical BS. Most people can't comprehend this concept to look beyond man's doctrines and see what is really hidden in His Word. You can start by researching "omnibenevolent", you will find that the traits of God are quite the opposite.
