Bird's Nest at Night

This video was shot during a trip to Beijing last week, where now I can walk through the Olympic Park to get to my meetings. The shot was taken in the evening of the Aquatic Centre "Cube" and Main Stadium "Bird Nest"

the cladding is a softer sort of material (not so ridid/stiff), lit from inside. so it has a luminescent sort of appearance and can, apparently, be lit in many colours.

it's really amazing venue.

and i'm happy that chinese swimmer won gold for 200 metre butterfly so it's going to be a memory for a life time for whoever watch that.

Yup, the watercube was built entirely from donations. Mainly from Chinese abroad, it's amazing if you think about it.
