Obviously this is my first try at making a fursuit head :3 The jaw will most likely move better once I bulk out some of the sides and bottom of the jaw to keep it so that it forms exactly around the jaw to make it move better.

I'm going to experiment with different elastic patterns around the head to see which gets the jaw moving the best- the next one will be the jaw connected via a strap to the top of the head rather than the side of the head. I think it'll give it a lot more leverage and such.

This will be a coyote fursuit I'm going to make with 'follow-me' eyes as well as the moving jaw with sculpted teeth and a tongue. I'll even be painting the fur to make it look more realistic and more like a coyote (because they don't have just brown fur) so hopefully this will turn out well :)

  • Hey I'm going to start making a fursuit hopefully soon and I'm going to buy something similar to a lycra dive suit to wear underneath so i can stay cool and it will obsorb any body oils. The one I'm getting has the detachable head peice and I was wondering, do you think I could use that when making a head? I've heard lots of people say to use something similar to a balaclava so I'm not sure if it'll work so I'm just looking for a little advice.Thank you! ^_^

  • The green made me think lizard but when you said ears i knew a doggy type animal

  • I have a question, how do you make the cheeks round? Whenever I try to make a head it looks like a helmet... O_O

  • If you put the elastic and foam on the lower jaw right below your lip it should move more when you talk.

  • Dinosaur D:<!

  • I soo can't wait to see the finished product!
