It was actually Andrei Lomakin (number 19), who cross-checked Johan Garpenlöv. Garpenlöv provoked the hit by checking Lomakin at 1:52. Referee Mäkelä didn't see who it was and had to guess who gets the penalty.
This was the last game USSR ever played in Men's World Championships.

Dude, in ussr there wasnt things like you rich and your poor hobo, all the people was same, everyone had jobs, everyone got paid for it, food was healthy because it was made in own country, there was a giant factories, wich now are closed (i live in latvia btw), how can there be an economy if country not selling anything, just taking credits from EU, now in lativa there are american style, there are rich people and there are lots of hobos, in ussr all the walls were posted with "need work"
