@franciscast1 Block her attempts to peck at you with a firm hand. Usually the hens are not a problem. Sure its not a rooster. They can be bastards, aggressive, and will attack necessitating carrying a good stick or broom to shoe them away.

I have a barred rock named pepe. She is very people friendly.

I had two roosters and two hens. But they have since gone to the Great Chicken Coop in the Sky.
