Driving around to Harry Manx's "The Great Unknown" http://www.harrymanx.com/
Harry is going to be playing at Centrepoint Theatre on Dec. 9 with Michael Kaeshammer!

The point of these "Night Music" and "Rain Music" (and others to follow) is that if I can't sleep, I like taking the car out and driving around for a few hours. Sometimes that isn't possible so these videos are the next best thing. There isn't any point to them except that they are relaxing and I like them.

  • Just subscribed. Was looking for Harry Manx and found your videos. Love 'em.

  • Thank you so much!

  • great idea ! the music is great too !

  • Thanks! Many years ago, there was a late-night filler which was simply video shot from a car driving around Toronto, with music (usually jazz). It was so relaxing and I wanted to repeat it. Oddly enough, even though it was for myself, a lot of my friends (and others) love them!

  • I was just wondering, what area of the country were you driving around? It looks like the prairies here in Canada.Seeing this reminds me just how nice it is to drive on a road with no traffic late at night with great music such as Harry Manx.

  • what a beauty tune... listen to er back country skiing... sets the mood. lovin it.

  • Heard Harry Manx on Bob Harris' BBC Radio 2 Show just after midnight last night - Wow! Have just bought all his CD's online and can't wait for them to arrive! He was doing a cover of "I'm on Fire" a Bruce Springsteen classic but I feel Harry actually does it better! Sorry Bruce! This is wondrous and "soul music". Thank you for putting this video up.

  • one of the best opening lyrics ever!

The truth could be written on a postcard.
