@FreshPrinceOfSuburbs The act of smoking cannabis does, if indirectly. I want to point out that I'm talking SMOKING it, not eating it and not vaporizing it. Smoking is negative for your lungs no matter the substance, and it will limit oxygen intake. If there's plant matter build-up (no matter how miniscule, remember we're talking on a microscopic scale), less oxygen is processed by the alveoli. Oxygen deprivation can and does kill brain cells. But we've got trillions, so...

@triggerman652 Additionally, I find it disheartening to hear that you honestly believe that the reason users of cannabis started using is because they didn't have anyone who cared about them. Honestly, my experience has been the opposite. Most of my friends cared about me and I made the decision to try it myself, no peer pressure. They looked like they had a great time using and I wanted to join in. A good portion of my very supportive family also smokes cannabis.

@triggerman652 People tend to rally behind cannabis because those who have used can say that even if they didn't have a particularly pleasant time, they still didn't experience any of the negative things that we're told you will experience. But cannabis is still a drug, and it can be abused (though the effects of abuse are a far-cry from other drugs like nicotine/heroin). You're basing your opinion of the drug on the people you've met who use, and not the drug itself.

If you're referring to my defense of cannabis, then the shit-talking is because I still support its legalization and I still advocate for education concerning drugs and drug use that is truthful. Just because I don't use currently doesn't mean I can't have an opinion on it.

Yeah, I used to quite frequently, but I've since started using Adderall for work and education (not just 'cause, I do have ADHD) and unfortunately for me Adderall does not mix well with weed (puts me in a semi-comatose state, lol). So it's pretty rare that I use it these days. I miss it though :(
