@powage I agree on the PSP but many people pirate PC games to see if they can run them and then go on to buy them, like myself. Developers are scared by this but quite a few still provide a decent amount of exclusives/ports and probably always will.

My main point was that most pirates are people that can't afford games anyways. Pirating something you can't buy doesn't hurt sales.

@helzabre The piracy scene has hurt the PC industry and PSP industry tremendously. The fact that the PSP sees such relatively high hardware sales (consistently) and low software sales is testament to that. On several occasions developers for both platforms have spoken out against pirates, in cases citing it as reason not to develop for that platform.

@powage The piracy scene is small and hasn't really hurt any companies other Nintendo for the high piracy rate on the DS and is actually helping anime sales in Japan. I'm not trying to say piracy is right, but it's impact is negligible considering pirates tend to be those that can't afford to spend $50-60 every time a game comes out and if a game sells over 1 million copies, a few thousand pirates won't do shit towards profits. Piracy shouldn't be encouraged or condemned from my viewpoint.

@korfx04 Well it depends if you want to play pong or free GOW 3 because not all homebrew will be this good.

looking good. i can program for psp but im looking forward to start programming for the ps3 ;), btw planned on adding some sprites yet?
