@lillonaute It's just the "Picardy third" that changes the mode of the final chord, absolutely typical in the style of Bach. Look for data about it.
it's just charming how the major chord at the end causes such a "shock" feeling ;)

@lillonaute There are a few legitimate recording organists who insist on playing the last chord as major. Apparently the name of the piece, key signature, and common sense are all lost on them. Guess they all know something my pedestrian brain doesn't. It's like the perfect end to a story, and then BAM, slap in the face. Why not just segue into Rick Astley.
That said... overall, one of my favorite organ pieces from Bach.
