Very interesting videos, but you seem like an engineering type. You do realize that with every magnetic field flux, there is a corresponding electric field being generated. So there is no distinction between whether the energy is stored in the electric field or in the magnetic field.

great work cody!

you are simply awesome. learning a lot from you. there are lot of people on you tube just come here to show how big they are! not to explain something. you are well above them.

if the core holds its magnetic polarization then the core in fact becomes a permanent magnet and therefore should react with a coil not only by breaking the core loop and collapsing the field but also by using the core as a magnet. But the core is ferromegnetic... its magnetic field will succumb to an external field after it inducted the coil eliminating the back emf drag... this may be good for designing a DC induction generator which I dont think exist???

excellent work ... the core does in fact store the magnetic field ... the geometry of the core is key to the effect ... polarity or magnetism is two dimentional... the cores loop geometry is a two dimensional geometry as there are no ends ... energizing the coils forces the cores crystal lattice to polarize nsnsnsnsns etc... because of the loop geometry the polarization becomes locked ... break the loop and it releases the binding of the magnetic polarity
First off great videos!
In your earlier versions with the leds did you ever try to step up the voltage in between switching it on? I was just curious if you lit the led with the 9V and then added another 9V in series if it would light your led again and store more energy in the core the next time you turn the switch.

I think i understand what you are saying, and my reply would be that that would depend on the saturation point of the core. If the first 9V fully saturated it, then no, using the aditional 9 in series shouldnt light it. But if it wasnt fully saturated with 9, then yes, 18 should then have a effect.

It's fun watching your videos. Again, you have a knack for teaching. Keep it up.

I read the book and don't understand electricity very well, I always wondered though, can this be used to power a lightbulb?
In the book the examples shown used a bulb, would...or does the bulb stay on until the connection is broken?

Watch the first and second videos i made, they will show you how it operates.
