Your too focus with the kick and the hoping hand while the oxygen is all stuck with ur free hand to create more circulation and gain more stamina breath and bend out and in the free arm so ur oxygen can run through ur body key to kinetic energy is chemical energy don't let that oxygen die :D not lying check out my tutorial it's not the best but it might help thanks...

I know it's my hops but I can't seem to find how to get my hops going straight up instead of twisting to the side.

I know this was a while ago but I have the EXACT same problem, or very close. I've gotten 9 hops before multiple times but once out of every 15 or so. I have to kick very hard, cannot follow a beat, go slow, and muscle every hop. I have no clue how to find my consistent sweet spot. My first two kicks are clean and I can feel my torso remaining still and then I start to twist and get out of invert position and then kick out to one side. I then simply hop out of it to the side.

yo on my first try i got two handed hand hops, and i can already do a one handed handstand, but everytime i try one armed hops, my arm buckles.
