@CantusMaximus He was a fan of N. tesla's work and wanted me to follow in his footsteps. I became a fan of J.S. Bach's work.

My dad built many tesla coils during my childhood. He always made me help him wind all the copper wire on the pvc tubes, then we would spend three to four days applying coating (polyurithane?). I never liked working on them, I always thought we would have an accident and one of us would die. We used to tell people that asked what dad was up to that he is out in the shack playing with his testicles/testicoils. :)
