This is a great video obviously put out by a few teens who CARE about this growing problem in our country. They're obviously NOT overweight themselves and should be commended on their effort to make this problem more visible to the public rather than just remain one of the "cool skinny crowd" that ignores (or worse...makes fun of) the problem!
Those of you who were offended or simply didn't understand the intent of this video should comment back and THANK these girls!

..other people. People who want to pretend that you can judge a person's character by just looking at them. As this video proves, the ones who are also being harmed by this are thin people. As they are displayed as being extremely fat-phobic, which is another stereotyped judgement.
Please realize your video does not do anything but help create hate. Size discrimination is a very real problem. If hate made fat people thin, there would be no fat people anymore.

ok don't get all offensive now, it's a SCHOOL PROJECT my friend did for a psychology class like 2 years ago. It's not supposed to be realistic or hurtful.....if you actually read the description of the video, you will see it clearly says a school project. It's the stats that count and the fact she's portraying information she read in books and online.

This woman is a real embarassment to other Asians out there. She's making it seem as if because Asian culture perpetuates thinness as ideal to an extreme, she can make a "video" based on nothing but prejudices and stereotypes on fat people.
I wonder if she'd be willing to answer to Margret Cho. Isn't it bad enough that Asian culture insists their women all remain unnaturally thin, without you supporting such mysogynistic ideals. What's next, a video promoting foot binding as a good idea?

I just wanted to say that I have no idea why you are offended by the video I posted. This video is not supposed to be realistic in any way. It's dramatized to get the point out, the only factual thing in this video are the statistics. This video was made for a school project and you missed the whole point of the video. The video is to "help stop" the growing problem of obesity, not to promote it. It just so happens that my friend who plays the "fat" girl is asian.
