Question; how can you tell if the bolt carrier is hitting the rear trunnion without a high-speed camera?
In this video, it is hard to tell, but it doesn't seem like the bolt carrier is actually making metal-metal contact with the rear. (Although it gets close). So what is the logic behind a recoil buffer that would create metal-to-rubber contact? Especially if there is no metal-metal contact beforehand? I would appreciate any replies

That dust cover really deflects brass mine with it on throws it at about the 1'o'clock position. Really you would choose a rock over an ak. Lol I like my AR better but would gladly fight with my ak if I had to.
