@jpsmart59 only on it hottest summers and at the equator. Its hottest ever recorded was 70
-
@Jenivera First of all Mars on its equator in its summer can get as hot as 70 F thats comparable to Alaskan summers. So if we can live in our poles the temperature should be survivable for some months. Mars has an atmosphere because it has a sky. Yes its thin, but you can work thin atmosphere. What Mars needs to grow an atmosphere is a shield from solar radiation. Earth has a magnetic shield, Mars will need a physical 1 until we discovered how to restart the dynamo effect.

1st of all. mars is out of the "habitable" zone so its very cold. -90 to 20C. -143 near the caps. and mars has no or a very thin atmosphere. so all the gases leak out into space.

Yes i believe the life would be some form of dessert type creatures as well as ice creatures I believe the whole internal structure of mars could be inhabited as well as a second option..to cold on the surface well burrow towards the core and your warmer..could be all kinds of cave life where erosion has created means to live inside the planet rather than on the surface..if there is in fact ice on mars you know there is water trickling somewhere and where there's water there's life

@TheRSKing286 ya me too Titan seems much more interesting and offers much more possibility for biological exploration
-
@Putz4Ever Mars really doesn't interest me too much, i looking forward to the titan and jupiter moon exploration mission :)

@TheRSKing286 Its not freezing, in the next 10 years nasa plans to send man to mars. We will then open holes in the ground to release CO2, and in a 100 year period we mars will be 10 degrees warmer, and if that doesn't sound like a lot, the only reason earth went into an ice age was because earth got 5 degrees colder... After this, oxygen will be breathable, and oceans will begin to form. But even before then we plan on sending greenhouse structures to create first ever Martians
-
making this a new earth?! GL Mars is over 200 Million miles from earth, so that means the planet is Freezing....
-
@deluxmoore my bad was thinking mercury lol
-
@deluxmoore There is a temperature on Mars at 60 degrees so I believe there is life there now.
Terra-forming Mars will be extremely difficult if not impossible. It has no spinning molten core like Earth to create a magnetosphere to deflect the solar wind. It has much less gravity than Earth. Those 2 factors would combine to continuously erode any significant atmosphere we could create. You'd also need SPF 57,000 to go outside. :)

Lets first get rid of the Reptiles that are controlling humans on this planet, then we can go out and play!
