The most memorable moment of the 52nd annual Grammy Awards on Sunday may be the onstage appearance of Michael Jackson's two eldest children to accept their father's lifetime achievement award.

"To all his songs, his message was simple, love," 12-year-old Prince Michael said. "We will continue to spread his message and help the world."

With a voice that sounded more mature than his age, he then thanked "God for watching over us these last seven months and our grandma and grandpa for their love and support."

Paris, 11, then spoke: "Daddy was supposed to be here. Daddy was going to perform last year. Thank you. We love you Daddy."

Prince Michael and Paris, along with several cousins, wore black suits with red stripes on their pants, and red armbands.

The children appeared after a rousing performance of Michael Jackson's "Earth Song," with a recording of Jackson accompanied by live performances from Celine Dion, Usher, Carrie Underwood, Smokey Robinson and Jennifer Hudson.

  • 1:02 what the heck was she listening 2?

  • who's taylor swift?

  • @Prettyphile2 True, Christina does scream sometimes.

  • @Rosalia100100 True. Christina's one of the best voices of the generation but I still prefer Bey. As strong as her voice is Christina does scream sometimes. I think Bey has more control over her voice and can put on a show. Just my opinion though.

  • @Prettyphile2 Christina Aguilera.

  • @RihannaLoverr You're so not alone there. Voice is weak and her performances are average. I guess that just says a lot about the music industry. If she tried to make it back in the 1990's with Whitney and Mariah she never would have been able walk the Grammy red carpet never mind the stage. On that front I say the same about Bey. She's the most talented performer alive and I say she's Queen, but what competition does she have? Lady Gaga? Katy Perry? Rihanna? Like that's talent.

  • Beyonce all day baby

  • @RihannaLoverr nop i also think the same.. her voice is flat and average and i dont find her songs that awesome... i still dont get it. 20 years ago for an artist to win a grammy, that person had to accomplish a lot of things, i mean we're talking about a GRAMMY AWARD.. now it seems too easy to win them. I say it cuz now they keep giving grammys to really average singers like TS, and it was not just 1 but 4?!

  • Show them Mary! Beyonce and Mary were awesome! The whole MJ performances and MJB with Buchelli (not sure if I spelled his name right). However he is a true definition of talent! We Americans lack that interest of it occasionally. He should be accredited even more! Pink showed more than her beautiful voice. Rihanna take some notes baby! you too Katy!
