@giutar100 "To some it's just an emblem of formality, a symbol that's been used so frequently. Many blasphemed and despised, though it's ancient it abides, a shrine to death that stands for life to me."
We know, as Christians, that the cross itself did not save us, and that Jesus did. :) But still, we look to the cross as a symbol of LIFE, remembering that Jesus gave his life on it so that we could be FREE. The cross stood for suffering, yet it brought US peace.
Isn't that wonderful?

@giutar100 you cant say what God is and what he is not because He can be whatever He wants to be and you don't know what he is something and when He is that something

YOU IGNORANT PEOPLE !!!! the cross did not save you Jesus did , it just becomes another idol like the virgin mary praise Jesus !!! reply if I'm right , and also if you do your homework the cross is another form of sun worship , don't you see the sun in the background a duh, god is not the sun nor the cross hes outside of time in heaven preparing a place for us.

Okay then, so the song changes. Who wrote that song? Isaac Watts or God? 1 Corinthians 14:36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only? In other words, Isaac Watts was just the "Transmitter". But God wrote the "Song" and the "Melody". 2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. Remember the "Prophecies" was sealed up in Psalms and Songs to! All God need is an empty vessel.

yes! God never changes!
however the style of the song changes, it's still worshiping the same unchangeable, eternal God.

amazingly awesome LOVEEEEEEE :)))))
The Lord used this song to bring me to repentance four years ago. He showed me Himself, full of tears and sorrow, with blood and tears on His face under the crown of thorns...and *I* was doing it to Him! Oh, it broke my heart, and I turned it all over to Him. Thank you, Christ Tomlin for doing this song. It absolutely blessed me.
