  • I lol when I see a single flute in a context like this, what's the point? You can't even hear it

  • Yes you can. otherwise we would not have bothered. The higher frequencies cut through beautifully. GRP do this well, listen to them.

  • It's in the wrong key here

  • This is a school band, and D minor is an easy key for arrangements with Bb and Eb instruments. What was Corea's original key?

  • I see a lot of negative comments on videos about songs being in the "Wrong Key"

It's music... there isn't a wrong key. That's the beauty of it.

  • @deepislandboy may you can't hear it directly but without you would miss something ;)

  • The original key is D

  • @dhuuhd3 it doesn't get any easier. I had to learn this at a jazz camp in a week

  • The key is because of the arranger, I have the same one.

  • If you liked this, you might enjoy Inmigrantes Big Band, led by Uruguayan director Daniel Camelo. His music blends jazz composition and arranging techniques with South American musical influences such as Candombe, Murga, Chacarera, Zamba, and Milonga.

There's some clips here on Youtube, but audio on most of them isn't great. But you can get his album "Puertos" on Itunes or Amazon...it's really cool music, NEW sounds. Check it out!

  • @musicedworld The original key was in D

  • B minor

  • @musicedworld By the way, this is G minor, not D minor. haha

  • @musicedworld His original key was B minor, but no biggie! nice performance! :)

  • Original was in E minor , I think.
