  • does your pc have firewire? Im thinking about getting the firestudio project because my usb interface was experiencing alot of latency, so i want to get this one. but i dont have firewire. Therefore i will have to buy a firewire card. Do you know if doing that will end the latency?

  • @drummerboy9551 Yes my Pc has firewire. Since I made this video I now use a Focusrite Saffire Pro 40. I have not compared the firestudio project side by side with the Pro 40 but I highly recommend you check out the focusrite. I think it may have less lantency then the presonus. Although I think most connections on the pro 40 feel cheaper then presonus. My presonus had to be fixed so I have not yet compared side by side. Happy Recording!

  • Your monitors should be at ear level, and the foam is not effective as soundproofing, its meant for the acoustic treatment of a room. I would also suggest that you get small floor isolation pads for your guitar amps, a small square of carpet would work great.

  • @dacstudios777 if have used blackets and foam for sound proofing in the vocal booth. I usually also have a piece of rug on the floor. I think it works pretty good. Some say, that there should not be to much soundproofing. When I stand, the monitors are ear level and when I sit, I can hear more of the low end. If I would have a building especially for all this stuff, I would make quite a few changes. Thanks for watching.

  • do you have anything that you dont want/use anymore? I need some equipment in my own studio so it would be awesome if i could get some for free or cheap

  • @mccrayc15 Well I'm on a budget myself. I had a problem with the firestudio project. I plan to get it fixed but I don't want to sell it cheap. I have ordered a focusrite saffire pro 40. If you want cheap stuff, try guitar center used stuff you might have luck there. also try ebay etc. If you buy used stuff, be careful; you could get burned.

  • answer the phone

  • 8:26 lol wireless camera with a wire...

  • USB faster than firewire Bwahahahahaa......

  • @lastsiteliving i actually have fixed it, i downloaded the ASIO driver and it has made it so much better!

  • @drummerboy9551

Often it depends on the driver/transfer protocol. Try e.g. ASIO. USB 2.0 is even faster than firewire (that means it can transfer more data at the same time) so i don't think it's caused by the interface. But i don't know which audio interface you have so maybe there are other problems.

  • @rolandsdisc ok thanks ill try that place out
