That's why Liszt always broke strings after his recital...

@olipippocinque in my Pleyel from 1850 (No.16389) there are also the "modern" tuning pins, the golden frame and the signature like the one in the video. Did Pleyel change design around 1850? Unfortunately mine has also these aweful hard modern hammers...

Fantastica esecuzione e tutta la spiegazione sul piano.. peccato che posso solo intuire che ne dice un gran bene perchè non capisco la lingua...:-((

I want to play it!!!!!!

Narrower keys???...shorter travel....???? Thats cheating!!!
I guess it was a radically wonderful departure from the 1700's to their ears. (still sounds out of tune to me

wood (especially in piano's soundbord) changes with time widely - such instrument doesn't sound like durig chopin's times. only copies, or pianos with replaced soundboards can sounds like in those days

We take for granted how glorified music of previous ages becomes on modern grands

Wow, just awesome! Wish I'd been there.
Sorry it's not exact !! In period Chopin the signature Pleyel is a beautifull stamp with :
I Pleyel et co Facteur du roi médailles d'or .... Never Pleyel put red felt ,and never he painting in gold the frame .... The tunning pin are rectangular ,same an harpsichord. ...And the felt of hammer is so soft ( grey generaly of rabbit ) here the sound is to hard . Is not Pleyel sound .... Sorry ! best regard for the exelent pianist .
