best time to run this section of the river is when it's UP! what does that mean? you have to check the USGS stream flow data and hit it while it's raining within 24 hrs of a rain. the river comes up fast (ie flash floods) and it goes down fast. this kind of runoff is why Clearwater and Wappapello vary so much in volume during the year.
