@dobsonone hmm ive always thought it shud b about wot u create with the intrument not what u do, i think the best wud b the ones hu jus carnt be imitated. like dime no1 no matter wha cud sownd like him. u cud neva get a pantera cover band tha wud sownd rite. also if u hear jus one note u knw its dime.

Well, Jeff's my favourite, so ... But best? Purely subjective. I mean, by what ultimate measure can a "best" be declared? Cannot. Dime was a monster player and musician, no doubt. One of my faves without question. There are SO many truly amazing metal guitarists, though. Paul Gilbert, Nils Norberg, Jeff Loomis, Jorn Viggo Lofstad, Warren DeMartini, Jake E. Lee, Vogg, Adrian Smith, Ed Van Halen, Glenn Tipton ... the list goes on and on. SO much talent.
