Mortal Kombat animation

the DVD has a special features menu of Test animations, announcer Voice bloopers, Fatalities, how to play mortal kombat on guitar, secret menus and more! to get to the secret menus, you have to figureout the cheat code. there are 2 total and ar combinations of the directional keys (up, down, left, and right.

I did this for a school project in my advertising and design class, because my teacher always wanted to see himself as a mortal kombat character with his own special moves n stuff :) a couple of my buddies wanted to be characters too.

this animation was literally done frame by frame in stages. first I animated each move such as a punch or kick, then I would piece them together. example I would do a walking animation, then add a punch, and a block animation for the opponent and so on. the stages were done frame by frame also to create depth. lol the characters were shot frame by frame also in front of a green screen. cuting out the green screen on about 80 pics per character was a B!*-%!

BTW, I'm the one with the black coat ;)
