This version of "I'm in the mood for love" was recorded at The Harp Hotel, Albrighton, Shropshire, England on Sunday, February 17th. 2008 by Louisiana Highway
This is a band who came to the Harp from the North West for their annual visit.
Dave Copperwaite on trumpet, Warren Latham (from the Temperance Seven), Tony Sharpe on bass, Bill Evans on drums and Noel Nicholls on guitar were joined for this number by Dave Donohoe on trombone. Dave had called in on his way from a gig the night before at Upton on Severn.
This was part of another great session at the Harp.
Sessions at the Harp are held every Sunday lunchtime and Tuesday evening. Details from John or Marie Howell on 01902 756158

You mean the trumpet player playing muted trumpet behind the vocal? Quite a trick that.

Funny, especially when the trumpet player drinks his beer before singing... LOL!!!

I like it Copper. You have a great tone these days, a big improvement from the Crescent City days. A strong Armstrong influence there now! Discrete and confident statements. Relaxed and leaning back on the beat. You've done good lad!
