@BGfromGB I've asked the same question especially in the beginning of me practicing Islam. Well to give you a better example: Elhamdulilah in Arabic means Thank-you Allah. But in Arabic HAMD is done only for God and Shukr is general so in English there is one word and you don't give the right thanking to Almighty. After I got to learn Arabic I found out that Arabic is very rich and very precise, so really a lot of languages fall short. Like there around 99 words for wind while in English there

@BGfromGB because no english words can do the arabic words justice. it unifies humanity in the way we pray - the actions, language and words being the same. this leaves no room for deviation. we are all equal in gaining God's accceptance for our prayers. the only thing that can distinguish between us, is the concentration in prayer, instead of being distracted by thinking about which words to use.
we are one body one book one reality one truth...thus one God - ALLAH

@BGfromGB arabic is the language sent down directly by the creator. all other languages where made up by humans. in the after-life we will all be speaking in arabic only.
this is why no other language can do the quran justice in its translation.
non-muslim academics have confirmed that classical arabic is the most linguistic marvel
its poetry....u have to study the quranic arabic to appreciate it.
