i just want to tell all the gay people out there specially teens who are not accepted by their family or in most cases by the society (i for one am and will always be i guess) that there is still hope that being gay is not a disease that we should fear instead we should embrace it for it is who we were when we were born and thats not gonna change even death. Life is like a cup of coffee its not the cup that makes the coffee good, its just the coffee. live life to the fullest!

I sat right next to Bobbys' brother Ed, at a very large banquet table, and we spoke incessantly of the wonderful, brave and loving acts, that appear to be the "Stock and Trade" of your remarkable generation!

I concur with you my friend! I resented what Mary meant to me for years after her sons' death! Though I felt her "Culpable" in the death of one whom I had loved, namely her son Bobby, even then I was able to detach from the person she had been at the time, the one she went on to become!

At an event last July, I asked her, and many in her family, I sat next to Bobby's brother Ed actually, if they were bothered by any of this? They all gracefully ascribed it to the power of TV as a medium, and that this might simply have been the price for getting Bobby's story out to the World!

I agree. I find it amazing how so many people leave vicious and hateful comments about Mary Griffith in these vids. Yes, the way Mary treated Bobby prior to his tragic passing was horrible, reprehensible, and downright sick. But she used the ensuing grief and sorrow from her son's suicide as a means of helping other families to overcome similar situations. I just wish people would end their irrational feelings towards her; Bobby's death is punishment enough
