Good start there Locodigger, congrats on the ring. I'd check that ring, usually that black colour on a ring in fresh water means silver. You're not crazy, I'd be in that lake so fast if I lived there.... I love water hunting.

@tesoroscott yea scott hat ring was going off like a dime in the silver range:) people driving by stop to look at wat the heck i'm doing in the water..once the police did a u turn on highway to come back for a second look lol they were worried when the saw me from highway in water this cold lol

The Halls Lake buplic beach, near the boat ramp, across from the island and by the river. Used to live near there. Great place in the summer.
