The crystals in the "Geode" that you found formed on organic matter that was trapped in an airtight cavity in the shell while it was under sedements.

Nice? Ever find any arrowheads in the creek? I've ben doing ALOT of arrowhead and fossil hunting lately... I might post a vid if you want to see some of my finds.

I live near the Fall's of the Ohio River and down river I found lots of wonderful Fossil's. Nothing like these! These are so interesting. Thanks for showing them! I'm a new subscriber!

The age is 96-98 mya depending on what research you read. That is just into the Upper Cretaceous.. Oh, I see you found an echinoid (urchin), I missed it when was looking up something.

the small echinoid might be from different era, i'm not sure, as its composition is closer to sandstone rather than those tan-ish limestone fossils i usually find. i also found small section of corkscrew-looking ammonite (maybe) .... i researched it and it's pattern and shape really resembles Didymoceras... but again, i'm not entirely sure.

In that creek I would focus in the shale (clay), especially between any limestone layers. You might find some really cool echinoids like Phymosoma and Goniophorus, and also shark teeth.

Thank you for watching! it's really nice to hear from experienced people, i'll probably film the location where i found these so people can see/ tip in on where i should look carefully. :)
