  • Hey there my friend. I am very sorry. I will pray for your father to be well. I pray also that your dream to go to Egypt come forth.

Tahtib and Sa'idi are very beautiful. You don't just like this stuff - you love it. It is in you and that is a very beautiful thing.

God bless you and your family.

  • My father is from Cairo, but his family is originally sa'idi. Also, he does not teach me. He is handicapped, and doing physiotherapy to recover. I just like this stuff, and when I'll go to Egypt, I'll start learning Tahtib and Sa'idi sword dances.

Still, as I have said, I don't know any of this stuff. I just know some Wudang Kung Fu.

  • Wow. Does your father teach you? So much can be learnt from watching youtubes aye?

Maybe he can start a school too. My daughter-in-law and granddaughter are starting with us in a few weeks.

My teacher is from Cairo. Where is your father from?

  • Sorry, I do not. Currently, I reside in Bucharest and practice Kung Fu in my free time.

  • Hi Andy. Thanks for your comment. Are you local to me? (Brisbane.) Hope so. We are called Zenobia Dancers. Our group is only small. We would love to have more people and we desparately need men. It is 3 yrs now since I joined and I love it so much. My teacher knows Mahmoud Reda & Farida Fahmy very well. We would love for them to come and give a workshop. Pray they will.

    Kind regards.

  • My dad's Egyptian, and we both love this kind of stuff.

  • I think that this is very nice. I live in Brisbane and I learn Egyptian Folklore. My dance teacher grew up in Egypt and she is a beautiful dancer. I love watching anything to do with Egyptian Folklore.

  • cool!!
