Homemade FlashBangs

This video contains two homemade flashbangs. The first one contained 6ml (67%) magnesium & (33%) black gunpowder. The second one also contained 6ml (75%) magnesium & (25%) black gunpowder. This video was filmed from about 20 meters. Apparently the 75% - Mg worked better.

I made a mistake when editing the video, so the two clips at the beginning, which were played at normal speed, are the same, but the slowmotions and pictures are from two different bombs.

@denka95 nooo.. (: blinded for 10 seconds would be my guess.. hear nearly nothing for about 5 minutes, slowly regaining hearing, holding your head over, perhaps a burn (its not like gasoline.. extremely hot, but very short time..)

fatal? nah.. really .. i think if you put it into a steel tube and stick it into your stomach.. yea sure.. :P

but flashbangs are completely overrated in games.. theyre mostly effective at creating panic (the bang) and very dark room (blinding and panic)

let's say that was just a test of how lucky can you be.

the truth would be this:

if that 19g was detonated at 10cm from us we would be blind for the rest of our life

and would have 3rd degree burns over 50% of our bodies.

could be fatal also.

don't want to go there either...

well for not compressing it too much.. put a thin layer on tissue paper, then roll it up carefully.. and put a little fuse in it.. (; i think thats a pretty good guess.. tho the real flashbangs are confined, but thats only 3 grams.. its just a tiny firecracker that doesnt blow up they use.. remember that..

@antiswattt3 for us it also burned because we couldn't make a 100% vacuum we didnt want to compress more because of detonation.

(imagine at 0.1 meters a 19g BOOM.

@antiswattt3 yea it needs 100% vacuum that is the problem

well you need AN in a room temperature because it could react very fast or it will detoriate and it will only burn

i put the mixes together and my friend made a detonator

and we tested

first granade went really good (we estimated that we cant get stunned on 20m distance)

well we made a mistake because of the large amount of it the sound wave didnt dispersed in the air so it kinda get to us.

and for the flash no comment..

@denka95 i did AN + Mg... first smoked abit, then a loud pop, nearly detonated.. really powerful stuff, tho theres stuff like how much water it had in it and such.. idk the AN i had afterwards didnt work very great.. perhaps the water reacted with the mg?? 0.1 gram shook my camera so it fell (:

but i guess for flashbangs, you want to just use a tissue paper bag with a fuse in, and then no other fuel than magnesium.. paper fuse (kno3, water paper) fx.?

@antiswattt3 BP for compression between those two mixes.

i don't want to burn them.

compressing then hard enough and faster will trigger the boom.

but it could also burn it. :P

it depends on how do i build it.

if it has air inside the cilinder it will burn. :)

yea i saw Ammonium perchlorate it burns so bright

but i did get ammonium nitrate and the guy who supplied to me didnt want to do anything with that so i wont get anymore of it. xD

@denka95 try using pure potassium nitrate... or if you wanna make a flashbang as they do for swat teams and shit, get hold of ammonium perchlorate.. i think its 70 30, cant remember if its volume or weight.. tho.. should be the most bright mix you can get.. but if you use AN, mix in a few %'s charcoal powder, then it should be easier to ignite..

oh yea and detonating it with black powder??? i guess that wont work dude, but might put the speed up a bit.. better not to use BP..
