This should have been your excercise 1...it is much easier to understand what you are doing, as it relates to pick blocking.

Well, Mickey you just made me realize it's time to take the cover off my steel and start practicing. Thanks so much for the tips on pick blocking. I had no idea how to use an exercise to get it to work. You just solved that problem. You got a new fan.

Love this exercise!! At 1:45 you go to a D#(Eb) on the way to the 5 chord. It sounds good, I'm just curious how that works since it's not in the F or the C scale? Or do I have this wrong...
