Here's the thing, to be in hip hop/rap game you nee to have the 'flow' or 'accent'. I'm black but born and raised in suburbia. I don't speak with a stereotypical accent. If I wanted to be in hip hop, when I put down my rhymes, I would have to put on a 'blaccent' to be taken seriously. Otherwise I'd be written off. It's the nature of the game. I don't think Debbie is pretending otherwise she wouldn't use her real voice in interviews.
